After an intense day of racing we have a winner of the Vegas to Reno race! On top of that we have pictures, updates, and more from the longest off-road race in the USA.
Jason Voss takes the win!
Jason Voss was the first person over the finish line (Class B) with a time of 09:02:27 after starting in the third position. At about the halfway mark he was in the lead and kept it for the remainder of the the race. Following in a close second was Justin Matney being only 3 minutes behind and Bryce Menzies was in third due to a few flats that occurred during the race. Check out the full results here!
Ricky Brabec wins Class A!
With an elapsed time of 8:56:22, Ricky Brabec took the win just ahead of the second place Jacob Argubright who trailed in 16 minutes later at 09:12:13. Rounding out the top 3 is Danny Cooper at 09:43:11. Checkout the results here!
Update on accidents during Vegas to Reno
During Vegas to Reno, there was 2 accidents involving an ATV rider and Motorcyclist. Here is what Best in the Desert Operations Manager, Donald Jackson, reports…
Alex Kollitz, a professional quad competitor riding his quad, was involved in a collision. He is in the hospital and recovering at this time.
Chris Carlisle, a decorated war veteran and long-time off-road competitor, riding solo on a motorcycle, was involved in a solo accident. Unfortunately Chris passed away shortly after the accident. A Go Fund Me page has been set up on his behalf, and a Celebration of Life is planned for this Wednesday. More information about Chris is available at:
